Revised 2014-15 Budget for Vote

The MMUSD Finance Committee held public forums and reached out to community members and staff to assist in preparing a revised budget to present to voters.  After deliberation, analysis of potential reductions and processing stakeholder feedback, the School Board reduced the budget. Click this link to view a flyer the School Board prepared.  More budget information can be found on the CESU website by clicking on this LINK .

Re-Vote on School Budgets


Dear Community Members,
   

The revote for Mt. Mansfield Union School District, Underhill Town School District and Underhill Incorporated School District  2014-15 school budgets will take place on Tuesday, May 6th, 2014 at the following locations:

  • Smilie Memorial School (Bolton Residents)
  • Brewster-Pierce Memorial School (Huntington Residents)
  • Jericho Elementary School (Jericho Residents)
  • Camels Hump Middle School (Richmond Residents)
  • Browns River Middle School (Underhill Residents)

Once again CHMS was well represented at the Regional MathCounts competition.  The team placed 3rd (Becket HIll, Hunter Wasser, Noah Chabot, Peter Christiana).  For the individual competition, Becket placed 4th and went on to win the countdown round.

About 15 students met on Wednesday to code. We will continue to meet each Wednesday starting right after the School Recess!


New School Cuisine
CESU chefs and managers participated in writing State wide school food service cookbook:
New School Cuisine: Nutritional and Seasonal Recipes for School Cooks by School Cooks.
 
Over last year, 3 of our chef/managers came together with 12 other school chefs around Vermont to write, test and retest new school recipes that meet the new USDA dietary guidelines. This book will be sent to every school in Vermont and to every Child Nutrition Program in every state. Last night at NECI was kick off for the new book. It is currently available online at:  http://education.vermont.gov/documents/EDU-New_School_Cuisine_Cookbook.pdf
